Chinese search engine Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) released statistics China’s blogging industry on Monday, reports International Finance News. According to Baidu, through the end of November, China had 16 million bloggers and 36.82 million blogs. Mainland China has 658 blog websites, 330 of them with over 1,000 registered users. The top pure blog service providers are MSN Spaces, Bokee, Tianya, Blogcn, Blogbus Ycul Blog, Netease Blog, CSDN Blog and Hexun Blog. Of the major Chinese portals, Netease (Nasdaq: NTES) had the most popular blog service, followed by Tom Online (Nasdaq: TOMO, 8292.HK), Sina (Nasdaq: SINA) and then Sohu (Nasdaq: SOHU). The statistics are based on Baidu’s search database.
